Under 15 Bord na nÓg Shield Final
St. Josephs Doora Barefield were crowned u15 Bord Na nÓg Shield Final tonight in Gurteen. The game took place under lights and it was the home side that raced into the lead thanks to the very impressive and skilful, Shane O Halloran. Ethan Coughlan was unlucky not to raise a green flag early on but his effort drifted across the goals. He added two points in a row, one from a free and a great point from play using great footwork to get enough space to add a point. Ciarán O Halloran was striking long range frees excellently and he added a point. Ballyea threatened for a goal but the St. Joseph’s Half back line proved solid and effective.
Ethan Coughlan struck for a goal in the 2nd half. Substitute Sam Cotter added a score. Ciarán O Halloran was presented the shield at the final whistle.
