St.Joseph’s Doora-Barefield minor hurlers booked their place in the Minor A semi final after a gutsy, determined performance in Bodyke. The depth and talent of the squad was obvious to see as the game went to extra time. Goals win games and on the night, the Parish found the net on five occasions. Conor Tierney was a threat in the forwards and bagged himself two goals. Keelan Butler was tremendous throughout in the St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield half back line and it was his long delivery which found the net that forced the game to extra time. The final score was 5-15 to 3-20 and St.Josephs Doora Barefield will now face Kilmaley for a place in the Minor A Final on Sunday.
