St Josephs Doora Barefield U15 Football Champioship Semi Final
In the under 15 competition Doora Barefield faced a very strong opponent in Corofin in the semi final. This proved to be the case in an enthralling encounter. Both sides enjoyed good periods of the game with the parish boys pushing out a 7 point lead with mins remaining. Corofin rallied and scored 6 unanswered points before Mr. Hickey blew the final whistle after a good 3 to 4 mins extra time . There were great performances throughout but Nicki Hardimans tally of 2.07 was a notable one on a score line of 2.12 to Corofins 1.14. Much work will be required if this team hopes to beat the winners of Ennistymon/wolfe tones.
