Camogie Feile Fixtures 2016: Gurteen

RESULTS:
D/B 4-1 to Ballyea 0-0
D/B 4-0 to Inagh/Kilnamona 1-3
REPORT TO FOLLOW.

It was that time of the year again when our club’s U14 girls took to the grass for the short games of Camogie otherwise known as Féile. First up as opponents for St. Joseph’s was Ballyea and our girls proved too strong as they came out winners on a score line of 4-1 to 0-0.

Ballyea in turn took on Inagh/Kilnamona and once again suffered defeat leaving St. Joseph’s & Inagh/Kilnamona to sort out between them who was going to surface from this group!

With a very intense first half Inagh/Kilnamona started the best scoring 3 points in concession without any reply from the home side until a penalty was given and Alannah Meaney for St. Joseph’s confidentially rattled the back of the net leaving them level pegging at half time. But the second half was to be St. Joseph’s solely as they stepped up a gear and managed to notch up 3 more goals when

Inagh/Kilnamona could only score one goal. As The referee finally blew the whistle it was to be the maroon and white’s evening D/B 4-0 Inagh/Kilnamona 1-3. Great great credit due to our girls proving goals really do win matches.

St. Josephs will now play Truagh Clonlara in Eire Og at 4pm on Saturday 24th April.
