Under 21B Hurling Championship Round 1

A remarkable tally of 2-10 from Davy Conroy saw St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield canter into the Under 21 B Quarter Finals in a busy Pairc Finne on Sunday. With the game being switched from Kilkishen to the North Clare venue ahead of Clare’s opening National League Camogie League tie with Offaly, this curtain-raiser offered little in terms of a test for the winners who built up a 1-9 to 0-3 interval lead thanks to a Cathal Ruane goal.

Further majors for Conroy (2) and Ruane on the restart saw the Parish ease up to victory ahead of a much more stern evaluation to come for their quarter final meeting with Scariff-Ogonnelloe who also had a comprehensive victory in their first round tie.
