Junior A Hurling Championship Round 1
Exchanges were even in the opening quarter of Ogonnelloe’s game against St. Joseph’s and after 20 minutes, the East Clare side led 0-5 to 0-4.
Goals from Fergal Collins and Peter English followed in a minute and Collins struck again on the stroke of half-time to give his side a three-goal advantage at the break, 3-06 to 0-06.
St. Joseph’s started the second half with a point but Ogonnelloe responded with a goal from Patrick Mooney, which killed off the Doora-Barefield challenge on a day when all but two points of the East Clare side’s tally came from play.
