St. Joseph’s get the better of Kilrush

On Monday, St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield faced Kilrush in Round 2 of the Junior Football Championship in Coolmeen. St. Joseph’s came out on top in this encounter with goals from Kieran Thynne, Peter O’Toole and Liam Clohessy.

Kilrush were then reduced to 14 players as the referee issued a straight red card as Niall Deloughery burst out of defence. Peter O’Toole scored the second goal after a great ball from Kevin Frehill found him free at the edge of the square. Shortly before half time, Peter Collins made a brilliant solo run and from the close to the end line found Liam Clohessy who got the third goal.

The half- time score was 3-2 to 0-7.
