U14b RD5 V NOF

Monday evening May 9th saw St. Joseph’s U14B Camogie Girls secure a victory in round 5 of 2016 championship against New Market On Fergus in New Market On Fergus.  First half goals from Múirne Ní Chonaill, Alannah Meaney & Naoise Slattery as well as points from both Ní Chonaill & Meaney kept the Gurteen girls in a very comfortable position at half time while New Market On Fergus had not recorded a score.

The second half proved more or less the same as the first with Alannah Meaney again popping 4 points over in concession while Kate Montwell and Niamh Meaney rattled the net with a goal each. New Market On Fergus, to give credit, fought back with a well earned goal & point from Caroline Enright as well as a goal from Ellen Casey.  But it was too late to catch up with the strong St. Joseph girls as the final score was D/B 6-6 NMOF 2-1..
