U14 B V Eire Og

Bitterly cold in Éire Óg this evening as our girls took on the townies, but the weather didn’t stop the maroon & white girls from showing a classic display of hurling skills & team work & the fruit of their labour paid off!
At half time Doora Barefield had four goals & a point clocked up thanks to Naoise Slattery’s 2 goals, Múirne Ní Chonaill’s goal & point & Aoibhinn Feighery’s goal while Éire Óg hadn’t hit the scoresheet at all.

But hurling/Camogie being a game of two halves, Éire Óg hit the ground running after the interval & struck the net three times as well as over the bar with scores coming come Ella Cahill, Amy Russell & Chloe Barry but it wasn’t enough as Alannah Meaney & Saidhbh O’Brien struck the net and Kate Montwell & Úna Ní Choileán topped their sliotar over the bar to leave the final score at 6-3 to 3-1….
Outstanding performance from our girls and can’t wait for game 3 of this championship to commence!
