Round 3 of the junior b league got underway in Gurteen on Sunday with a comprehensive win for the homeside. Hannah Meaney opened the scoring for St. Joseph’s with a goal inside the opening five minutes with Ciara Whelan adding another minutes later. Keira McGrath pointed (2) for the parish side mid way through the the half before Ciara Whelan rattled the Parteen net twice more with points from Laura Hayes, Hannah Meaney and Ciara Whelan to leave the half time score 4-5 to 0-0.

Parteen to their credit continued to battle hard with impressive displays from Eilis Kerins and Vanessa Killackey. Hannah Meaney and Laura Hayes pointed for the homeside with Ciara Duggan tagging on two further goals to secure a win.
