Camogie Feile Semi Final
St. Joseph’s will take on Truagh Clonlara in the 2016 Div 1 Feile Clare semi final on Saturday 23rd at 4pm in Clarecastle.
SEMI FINAL REPORT:
First up to the mark for our girls were Truagh/Clonlara and our girls took to the grass like a duck to the water with Naoise Slattery rattling the corner of the net and Alannah Meaney scoring a single point in the first 15 minutes while Truagh/Clonlara couldn’t reply.
The next 15 minutes however were a different story as the blue shirts clawed their way back into the game balancing the score line and leaving spectators from both sides on the edge of their seats as the game ran into it’s final moments. It was all to play for as Alannah Meaney grabbed a high ball from her captain Emma Towey and accurately popped the sliotar where it counts over the aluminium bar and it was enough to secure the maroon and white girls into the final to determine first and second place much to the relief of the Doora Barefield spectators. D/B 1-2 T/C 1-1.
